It's time!   Head over to Li'l Inker Designs to save huge (and I mean HUGE!!) on the entire store, including the new November release!   But first....check out another card using the new stamp set, Unstoppable!

I had fun creating this pattern by simply stamping with multiple colors in a chevron shape....it's amazing that one little stamp can create such a cool pattern, isn't it?!

I added the Friend Word Die (covered with some glitter, of course!), and stamped and heat embossed the sentiment on a cardstock strip.  A few Nuvo drops finished off the card!

There you have it - now head over to Li'l Inker Designs and get your Black Friday shopping on!!

Lil' Inker Designs - November Mini Release Preview

Hi crafty friends - I have BIG news today!   I'm beyond excited to be joining the super talented Lil' Inker Designs team!   I was absolutely thrilled when Laura asked me, and I can't wait to start sharing projects with all of you!

We are gearing up for an epic Black Friday sale, starting today with a mini release preview!   You'll be able to purchase the stamps and dies shown starting this Friday....but for now, check out my projects and hop along for more inspiration from the fabulous Lil' Inker design team!

First up I have a card using the adorable new stamp set, Magical Winter.   Oh...em...gee!   Check out the unicorns!   And you can dress them up in winter attire!

I added a hand cut vellum pond for the unicorn to skate on - and her horn is all glittered up with some Stardust Stickles.   A few flicks of gesso mixed with water added some snow to the scene!

Next up we have a set called Unstoppable!   This mix of patterns is SO versatile!  For today's card I stamped one of the images alternating colors and offsetting a bit.   It looks like a cool patterned paper!   I used one of the Dual Dotted Border dies to cut the panel and stamped the sentiment directly on the card base.   Be sure to check out my blog on Friday for another card using this must-have set!

OK, so what did you think of the preview?   Are you ready to shop?   Well hold on till Friday and you'll save BIG!  Here's a few deets on the Black Friday sale....

The stamps and dies the team and I have used will be available Friday, and they'll be on SALE too!  Want to WIN all of the products from the November mini-release?  Leave comments for the design team for your chance!

The Miracle of Christmas

Hi there!   It's hard to believe we are halfway through November already!!   Where does the time go?!   It's almost time to get holiday cards ready to mail, and today I've got another easy flat-mail style card to share with you!

I stamped a variety of snowflakes from CAS-ual Fridays' Bring on the Flakes around the edge of a piece of kraft cardstock with Distress Oxide inks.   I absolutely love how the colors pop on kraft!

I kept the card simple by stamping and heat embossing the sentiment, from Lovely Blessings in white.   I also added a few white heat embossed dots (from Snowy Sayings) to fill in some of the space.   Such a vibrant and simple card - not to mention it would be a cinch to mass produce!

Thanks so much for stopping by!   If you're itching to purchase some goodies to start creating your own holiday cards, be sure to use the coupon code KIMBERLY2017 over in the CAS-ual Fridays shop to save 15%!   The code works on everything in the shop....woo hoo!

CFS Special Release - Sugar Plum Fairy (+ Ballerina Dies!)

Hello there!   Have I got some exciting news to share!   Due to the fantastic response you all had to the Tutu set CAS-ual Fridays released over the summer, Michele has created a fantastic holiday set featuring the sweet ballerina (this time with a snowflake tutu!!) as well as coordinating dies!    The dies work for both Tutu AND the brand new Sugar Plum Fairy sets!
I created my spinner card by first stamping a variety of the snowflakes onto a purple card base.   Next I die cut the largest tag from the Tag Buddies Fri-dies from the center of the card base.   I stamped and heat embossed the ballerina with white embossing powder on white cardstock, then used a combination of Catherine Pooler inks to blend an ombre of pinks and purples over top.   I die cut the ballerina and also another, unstamped (but inked) ballerina as well.   To create the spinner, I sandwiched a piece of clear thread between the two die cut pieces with strong adhesive and adhered this behind the die cut window.   She looks just adorable when she spins around pirouetting!

I also stamped the snowflake tree inside the card.   This is a fun way to add some depth to the card!   To finish things off, I sponged some white pigment ink around the window and added a sentiment strip along the bottom.

This stamp set as well as the Ballerina Fri-dies is available TODAY at CAS-ual Fridays!   And if you've just gotta have them, use the code KIMBERLY2017 and you'll save 15% on your entire purchase!!

Thanks so much for stopping by!   Have a wonderful weekend!

A Blog Named Hero November Challenge

Hello and happy Monday!  I hope your week is off to a wonderful start.   Since today is the first Monday of the month, it's time to kick off the latest A Blog Named Hero challenge!   This month our collaboration partner is Neat & Tangled and the theme is 'Copy a Designer'!    How fun is that!   Just  find a previous card from one of the A Blog Named Hero designers and use it as inspiration for your creation!  I chose to CASE this card from Michelle which appeared on the blog last month -

I loved the light stenciling and the way the little turtle was sitting on the sentiment banner....here's my take on her card!

I used the Color Layering Deer stamp set from Hero Arts and the sentiment is from Neat & Tangled's Oak Leaf stamp set. I fussy cut the doe and adhered her with foam adhesive.   Instead of stenciling the background, I stamped some snowflakes with white pigment ink for a soft look.   I added a few sequins from Neat & Tangled for sparkle!

I hope you've been inspired to CASE one of the A Blog Named Hero designers and link up a card to the challenge!   I can't wait to see what you create!!

Harvest Ink Blending

Hi crafty friends!   I'm stopping by today with a colorful Fall card that is super easy to make, plus is nice and flat for mailing!   Gotta love those!

I began by masking a circle on my card base.   Next, I cut some wave shapes out of some additional masking paper and fit them together, covering the circle.   I removed one piece at a time, adding color with Distress Inks.   I like how the colors blend into each other a bit, but not too much.   I stamped and heat embossed the wheat from CAS-ual Fridays' Amber Waves with gold embossing powder and stamped the sentiment (also from Amber Waves) by bending it slightly on my stamp block to get just the right curve.  I added a skinny strip of gold foil paper down the right edge of the card to give things a finished look!

I hope you've enjoyed my card today!   Just a reminder - you can always save 15% in the CAS-ual Fridays store by using my special code, KIMBERLY2017!

Enjoy what is left of the weekend, and I'll see you again soon!

25 Days of Christmas Tags - CAS-ual Fridays!

Hello crafty friends!   I'm excited to be joining in the fun of Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas Tags again this year!  Head over to Tracey's blog to find out all the ways you can participate -    pssst....there are lots of great prizes involved!  CAS-ual Fridays is today's featured guest - let me show you my tag!

I used the large Scallop Tags Fri-Die and the medium Tag Buddies Fri-Die to create my tag.  On the scalloped tag, I stamped and heat embossed the snowflakes from Snowy Sayings with clear embossing powder and added a strip of patterned paper for a pop of color.   I stamped the bird from Partridge in a Pear Tree and the branch from Casual Comfort with a very light colored ink and then colored over the top with Copic markers.  I added the snowflake to the bird with white embossing powder.   The To/From sentiment is from Heartfelt Sayings.   I added a bit of white pigment ink to the edges of both tags and layered them together with foam adhesive.

To add a little more embellishment to the tag, I added some ribbon and a die cut snowflake from Funky Flakes Fri-Dies sewn on with a button and a bit of twine.

I hope you've enjoyed my holiday tag!   If you want to shop over at CAS-ual Fridays, use my special coupon code, KIMBERLY2017 to save 15% on EVERYTHING in the store!   Thanks for stopping by!
